Whitey Bulger

James Joseph "Whitey" Bulger, Jr. (born September 3, 1929) is a wanted fugitive and alleged leader of the Winter Hill Gang, an Irish-American crime family operating in the region of Boston, Massachusetts. He is the brother of William Michael Bulger, who rose to become President of the Massachusetts State Senate and President of the University of Massachusetts.

On August 19, 1999, Bulger became the 458th Ten Most Wanted fugitive listed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and as such, he is currently wanted for racketeering (under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO)), murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit extortion, narcotics distribution, money laundering, conspiracy to commit money laundering and extortion. In October 2007, Interpol released a "red notice" for Bulger.
