Vinny Vella

Vinny Vella (born Vincent Franco Vellacerra on October 3, 1950 in New York City) is an actor and part time comedian.

He was made famous for the role of "Artie Piscano" in Martin Scorsese's Casino. He was the subject of a 67-minute documentary called "Hey, Vinny", completed in 2000 by director John Huba. Several of the characters he played on film were named or called "Vinny".

He also played Jimmy Petrille, a fictional mobster and Consigliere in the Lupertazzi Crime family under John "Johnny Sack" Sacramoni, on the HBO hit tv-series The Sopranos.

Most recently he starred in Russ Emanuel's "Chasing the Green" (2008), alongside Jeremy London, Ryan Hurst, William Devane, and Robert Picardo.

He is married to the former Margaret Ann Hernandez; they have one son, Vincent Franco Vellacerra, Jr.
